Explore nature in Africa on horseback at Doornbosch Estate & Guesthouses.

Guided rides on our well-trained horses will leave you invigorated and refreshed. Experience nature up close, Zebra, Eland, Fallow Deer, all while inhaling the fresh country air and feeling the joy of riding in unspoiled nature on Doornbosch Estate.

Alternatively, participate in a cattle drive. Experience the feel of the old wild west, by rounding up the cows and bringing them in for their weekly check-up.
Our horses are well cared for, reliable, sure-footed, brave, and gentle. We have horses for beginners, intermediate and accomplished riders. There is also an arena if you prefer to ride in an enclosed area. Riding lessons can be arranged as well. Our horses are Nooitgedachter and Boerperd – both local South African breeds. Bred for their kind temperament, love for people, sure-footedness, and hardy disposition.

One of the purposes of horse passports is to record all medicines that each horse receives. Therefore, the passport must be available whenever a vet treats your horse so they can record the medicines given.
